#FinishOCTwPINK + @Reebok #Crossfit
When I applied to review Reebok Gear, I was pretty excited (like tell all your friends excited). It’s awesome when other’s reviews and watching what the Pros wear gets you stoked to try out a product.

This last week I have been trying to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I created #FinishOCTwPINK because I have family that have had to deal with it. Also, I have many blogger friends that have had to deal with it themselves. According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, but at this time there are more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
I was lucky to have some pink laces to throw in my Reebok Realflex Flights and they also sent my a very comfortable and slick looking #Getafterit tech-t, that worked great for doing running WODs in. Now, that I have a ton of tech-t’s I get to choose what I know is comfortable, rather than just taking what ever one happens to be next in line, I like to wear shirts that a flashy and comfortable.

When I saw some other #fitfluential bloggers getting the #Getafterit shirt, I was like, “where’s mine?” I loved having my first pinkish shirt. Reebok did really well with the fabric and breathability of this shirt. It’s one that I would suggest, buy, and actually choose out of the ton of tech-t’s in my closet. I’ve done a ton of Crossfit Endurance #WOD’s in it. Sweating a ton during intervals hasn’t made the shirt feel heavy.
For my #FinishOCTwPINK, the shirt matches my Pink Calf Sleeves (I’m kind of known for these in my cycling group). Also, I had some pink laces for the finishing touch. Almost 40,000 women will die from breast cancer this year, and wearing pink this month has reminded me of some of my family and friends that have had to deal with it. It helps me to not take my training or my fitness level for granted. My desire when I #FinishOCTwPINK is that at least one person is reminded that there are many women having to go through a horrible struggle and being there for them is the least we can do.

The Realflex Flights have taken a little getting used to because they have a bit more heel-toe drop than I’ve been used to. However, they have been great for my interval work. Also, I love using them for #Crossfit WOD’s. They are a very stable shoe compared to the orignal Realflex. The pink laces do stick out on the Raider Silver/Black shoe, but hey, no one said I liked to conform.
Lastly, going with my #FinishOCTwPINK theme, I want to encourage you to get envolved. The Relay for Life events are a great way to get out and meet survivors and others that are very motivating. Heck, you could even set a goal to get an ultramarathon done while run/walking on a track for 24hours. There are a ton more ways to get involved besides just donating; you can find out a bunch of ways on the ACS site.
